NEW RELEASES: Brie Mine? – Maybe Not? & Déjà Vu

Published by YVR Official on

What’s it gonna take, for you to Brie Mine? Maybe Not? well that’s just fine. Maybe Not?, releasing on February 6, 2022, is the first of two new releases by North Vancouver singer/songwriter Brie Mine? (stylized). A big fan of Billie Eilish and Rihanna, Brie Mine? has always been a singer “since she could talk”. Taking singing lessons in primary school, Brie would later partake in musical theatre before creating her own sound and beginning writing songs in her later highschool years.

Maybe Not? is inspired by her own life events and growing up looking for romance when it’s not to be found, Maybe Not? describes the situation in which young and wanting women second guess themselves in their search for reciprocal love, fearing that they are overthinking the feelings another has towards them. Produced by Mantra, Kober, and Wolfgang Pander, and mixed by Belgian friend and collaborator Cornel Olar, the upcoming singer enters a new world of self-introspection and maturation.

“Picking petals off of flowers

Does he love me? Maybe not

Does he love me? Maybe not”

Brie Mine?’s flawless vocals pair with a hard-hitting & modern pop sound, with a beating snare and rising synths to create an uplifting yet easy-listening vibe.

Don’t listen to the uncertainty; trust yourself and the energy you put out. By overcoming the fear of rejection, you end up realizing that real love is worth that risk. Once you find the right person, there will be no doubt in your mind, or theirs.

“It’s about being grateful for people you had in your life even when things don’t work out and you grow apart – as well as the rawness of loving someone unconditionally

“All I want is for you to be happy

Even if it doesn’t end with you and me

I need to get this off my chest

That I wish you nothing but the best”
