2Track Entertainment: Creative & Recording Studios
From time, the hiphop scene in the 604 has been stunted, there wasn’t a community nor were there dedicated spaces to the development of the genre locally. For Denton Milton, the man with the vision for a new era, a hiphop recording studio was the first step.
Owner and sound engineer Denton Milton acquired the space in 2018, and since its inception has transformed it from the vision of a professional vogue music+ studio into reality. Milton got his start when relocating to Vancouver from Kamloops, and intially worked with local names such as Gary Procknow and punk legend Joey Shithead of DOA. Milton would later work with Andrew Oldham as an assistant engineer for 2 years, engineering under the lead singer of The Odds, Steven Drake. Milton would also go on to record and engineer an e-book of Oldham’s as well as recovery work on Andrew Oldham Orchestra’s studio sessions with the Rolling Stones from the 60’s. They would uncover the original files from these legendary sessions, including a riff that would later become the controversial Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve
Founded in 2018, 2Track Entertainment Studios is a space for everything in creative production. Two recording studios and a composition studio for photo-video shooting are housed in this refined modern artistic experience, and a dedicated team of producers and engineers with professional expertise make for the hottest and newest hiphop/pop/EDM-based recording studio in Vancouver.
Into the Zone…
Studio A, complete with a multi-person lounge, twin ADAM A77X monitors, and one-of-a-kind vintage mix console (custom made from Quad 8 parts, and previously owned by the Tragically Hip, ZZ Top, and formerly located in the Bahamas) allows for a open-room collaborative zone. Here, many hits and projects have been engineered, recorded, mixed, and mastered for local artists from Eric Reprid, Boslen, Powfu, Killy, and more. The studios’ reputation has also attracted artists from all over the country and beyond, where young stars such as Houdini, WondaGurl, WHIPPED CREAM, and Pressa have flown in to put in sessions at the esteemed recording studio. Various producers that have worked on hit records for artists like 88Glam, Jackboys, Travis Scott, and Future have all came through for studio time at 2Track as well. With top-of-the-line equipment and full acoustic treatment, the studio is still constantly evolving and upgrading with the technology.
Studio B functions separately, better suited to a 2-man, one producer, one vocalist setup. Focusrite interfaces assure top-quality vocals and dynamics, and in-house engineers like Dane Szabo and Carson Matza are often in-and-out the booth helping both seasoned and upcoming singers and rappers to isolate their desired sound and crank out hits. The latter young producers have worked with such artists as TyFontaine, 99 Neighbors, and more.

Located on the second level below Studio B is the Creative Studio 1, where a huge cyclorama white infinity wall gives a pristine setting for modelling, personal, and commercial photo and video shoots. The Creative Studio also features for further content creation when fitted with a green screen, such as music videos and digital compositions. Photographers and videographers can be put in contact with anyone looking to use the space, and lighting and shoot equipment is provided by 2Track.
2Track is also proud to present their most recent addition; the podcast studio. Moving forward, commercial and private content creators will be able to book the space and equipment for their streaming needs.

YVR to the World…
In terms of the future, the opportunity for cultural renaissance has never been more clear. With the world opening back up, 2Track Entertainment has partnered with Chaos Club Digital, Vancouver artist Boslen’s own music label. After years of collaboration between the two, making it official will usher in a time of rapid content creation and expansion. Both studio and label plan to take over the scene and give incredibly professional creative methods and resources to established and aspiring rappers and singers. More and more opportunities for all sorts of creatives will be coming through 2Track, with networking and community being the core focus.
