Alexis Lynn House on Fire

House On Fire is the latest single from Vancouver singer and recording artist Alexis Lynn. Released on all platforms on January 28, 2022, the hard-hitting single accompanies new visuals as well in the form of a music video. House On Fire is a first-hand story about watching a loved one struggle with addiction and the helplessness felt when you can’t heal their pain. Still, you must be there for them in any way that you can.

To be plain and simple, it just really sucks, and the feeling is so powerless when you yourself can’t fix the problem and you just have to watch it happen and support them in the best way you know how.

Well let me get you out"

To be on the outside looking in, is to watch the house burn from a distance, not knowing how to douse the blaze once and for all. Alexis Lynn masterfully relates her message with expert production and a clear artistic vision. Her visuals as well are eye-catching and her voice achieves a soft but poignant sound that melds effortlessly with the tone of the song.

Lynn co-wrote and recorded the song with collaborators Will Jay and Brandon Rogers. Rogers produced the track as well, and in the wake of COVID the vocals were recorded by Lynn over Zoom. The young artist is certainly unafraid to tackle harsh concepts, and tell authentic and experienced stories. In the times we are in in Vancouver especially, it is certainly important to bring awareness to the all-too-real impact of the pain of addiction, and how it affects more than just the individual. Don’t change the channel when it seems like too much to deal with. We may not know how to fight battles for our loved ones struggling, but our unconditional love and belief in them is the foundation of recovery. We must be there for them, and be strong for them.
